MADANI stands for Maulana & Anggoro Digital AI Network Initiative — named after the two people behind this initiative, who began this journey as part of an additional assignment at Hijra Bank under Project Salman.
The word Madani in Islamic tradition carries a much deeper meaning. It refers to the concept of a madani society — a civilized, progressive, and prosperous community. A civilizational vision that is not only about material prosperity, but about how people live together in harmony, supporting and lifting one another up.
The word is also inseparable from the spirit of the city of Madinah — a city that in Islamic history became a living example of how a diverse community could build an advanced civilization grounded in strong values. That is the spirit we want to bring to the world of business.

As part of a development program at Hijra Bank, Maulana and Anggoro were tasked with building something real — an initiative that could create concrete impact for business owners while strengthening the Hijra Bank ecosystem.
The deeper they understood the condition of SMEs in Indonesia — the more business owners they spoke with, the clearer the recurring pain points became, and the more apparent the gap between existing potential and actual digital capability — the stronger their conviction grew that this was not merely a task to be completed.
